In response to a developer's question why page editing was permitted but not comment submitting, comments were enabled. A notice (visible to logged-in users) was added to each page bottom to request comments be about the documentation itself and not the documented feature, etc.
Comments weren't enabled before because of the concern that end users might ask support questions at the documentation page instead of in the forums. We can monitor how things go and make appropriate adjustments.
I deactivated copyright feature because it makes a huge page when you print out and it's a waste of paper.
If someone wants this feature, please re-activate with a 1-paragraph description of the license and a hyperlink
Those perms added to DocContributors group in the HomePage :
Can edit pages DocContributors
tiki_p_minor
Can save as minor edit DocContributors
tiki_p_upload_picture
Can upload pictures to wiki pages DocContributors
To enable new people from tw.o forums willing to help and fix issues in doc.tw.o, and without the needed perms to do so.
According to the july'08 ebm, I've granted the perm:
Created a new group called "))DocContributors(("
I've removed the perm tiki_p_post_comments from registered, and granted it to DocContributors
I've added to the group DocContributors already a few registered users among the ones that edited doc.tw.o pages in the last two weeks (as a trial). But I wonder what will be the process to add more people to this group...
According to last ebm passed motion, I've enabled blogs, and created a new blog to report changes to doc.tw.o site.
I've also allowed posting comments per post.
All that set for doc.tw.o admins and editors.
