Removals
- [+] Removed POP3 support from mail accounts
- [+] Removed: tracker "Attachments" tab and deprecated "Attachment" field type
- https://gitlab.com/tikiwiki/tiki/-/merge_requests/10104
The legacy tracker per-item attachments feature has been removed. This affects two things:
- The tracker Attachments tab (the useAttachments tracker option).
- The deprecated Attachment tracker field type (field type A).
New attachments could no longer be created through these features, and both are now gone.
What was removed
- Database table tiki_tracker_item_attachments
- Tracker options useAttachments, showAttachments, orderAttachments
- Permission tiki_p_tracker_view_attachments
- Pages tiki-download_item_attachment.php and tiki-view_tracker_more_info.php
- The attachmentAttributes property in the tracker create/update REST API schema
Migration (required before upgrading)
The database update to Tiki31 will stop and refuse to continue while old attachment data or deprecated Attachment fields are still present, so nothing is silently lost. To upgrade:
- Orphan attachments (whose tracker item no longer exists) are removed automatically.
- If tracker item attachments remain, migrate them to a Files tracker field (create one first if the tracker does not have one). Run:
Copy to clipboard
php console.php tracker:convert-attachments <trackerId> <fieldId> [galleryId]
is the ID of the Files field.
[galleryId] is optional: if omitted, the command uses the file gallery already configured on the Files field, or the root gallery if none is set.
- If any field still uses the deprecated Attachment type (A), remove it from its tracker (Tracker > Fields > select the field > Remove).
- Run the database update again once everything is migrated.
