Group and Category Permissions

Can someone help? I am fairly new to tikiwiki, and I want to be able to let one Group view, comment and generally use the wiki. However, there are a few bits of the wiki that I want only certain groups to be able to edit. The best way to ensure this is to categorise the wiki pages, and to attach the edit permissions to the category rather than the pages themselves, as I only want the one group to be able to edit any current and future wiki page that is under a certain category.
My problem is that I cannot figure out how to assign such edit permissions to the category.
Any help?

Robin, category permission only apply for viewing so far. Edit permissions have to be set on a page by page basis.

You might want to have a look to the workspaces at Mod aulawiki: they can handle permissions more efficiently on groups of pages (within each workspace)

By the way, this forum is intended for issues with documenting. General requests of help should be addresses to http://tikiwiki.org/forums

Cheers, and welcome to TW community 😊

Xavi, Thanks for this, and sorry I posted to the wrong place. I tried to load aulawiki, but when I did, all the mods on the mods list disappeared. There is now nothing in mods. I have write permissions, but can't get the aulawiki mods to list.

Oooups, sorry, my fault. I updated the docs in doc.tw.o Mods User, but I forgot to update the source of that documentation! 😊
Nowadays, Updated also at:
http://edu.tikiwiki.org/tiki-workspaces_view_structure.php?print=4#AulaWiki-Tutorial-Installation

Don't look at the video (still point to the old mod repository, not available any longer)
Mods repository has to be set as: http://mods.tikiwiki.org (see updated documentation)

Please, report any more issues you find with aulawiki (I hope you enjoy it as much as we do the tiki users which use it for production! 😊
