Related Preferences

  1. user_dicebear_avatar: Switching this preference on/off allows you to activate and deactivate the feature.
  2. user_default_avatar_style: This preference lets you choose a style to use for new users when registering through the site automatically. The default value is initials.

How To


To set a new avatar for your own profile:

  • Open My Account
  • Open Preferences
  • Open Pick user profile picture

    • The resulting interface should be as follows:

    • Image
      Click to expand

  • Click Choose an avatar

    • The following dialog should open up:

      Click to expand

  • Click an avatar to select it
  • Click Select (the highlighted button in the dialog bottom right corner) to confirm the selection


Your profile should be updated after the confirmation.

Advanced Usage

  • You can change the active style via the styles picker:

    • Image
      Click to expand

  • Use the Randomize button to generate another set of choices with the active style
    • Image

    • You can randomize as many times as needed before selecting an avatar

Reset the profile picture


When an avatar or profile picture is set, you may want to remove it. To do so click Reset as shown below:
