Overview

Use this tab to configure the general settings and features for Tiki articles.

To Access

From the Articles Admin page, click the General Settings tab.

General Settings tab

Setting	Description	Default
Title of articles home page	Select the default title for the page, when viewing all articles: Topic, Type, or Articles
Maximum number of articles on articles home page:	The number of articles to show on each page of the Article home.	10
Features
Submissions	If enabled, users (with permission) can submit articles. You can configure if the submissions require admin approval.
Rankings
User ratings on articles
Article rating options:
Comments for articles	If enabled, users (with permission) can post/reply to article comments. If enabled, you can specify the number of comments to display on each page (10) and the default order of the comments (Points, Newest First, or Oldest First)
Content Templates
Print		Enabled
Specify notification emails when creating articles
Paginate articles
Custom attributes for article types		Enabled
Geolocate articles
Article properties
Default article image width:	Note: For best results, Give only one value (width or height) to keep the image proportions	0
Default article image height:		0
Sharing on social networks
	ShareThis buttons	Insert a ShareThis button from www.sharethis.com.

Articles

From the Tiki Admin Panel, click the Articles icon to display the Articles setup panel, the top of which appears like so:

You can select here if the rankings and comments features are enabled for articles and submissions. You can also select the maximum number of articles to display in the articles home page.
